The Willowdale Green Party represents the Green Party of Canada and also the Green Party of Ontario in Willowdale and are committed to having our governments act with the guiding principles of ecological wisdom, social justice, grassroots democracy, and non-violence.
A healthy society needs a healthy environment as we are all interconnected and inter-dependent. It is not only cheaper but better. Most Green Party supporters come from the other parties because this was missing. This is especially true now because the status quo doesn’t work anymore, and we can’t afford it.
Severe weather events caused by the rapidly changing climate are unpredictable, costly, and difficult to budget. The most expensive insurance event in Canada in 2024 was the hail storm in Calgary at $8.5B, in addition to the many others. This is not affordable, and to do nothing is not an option.Only the Green Party has a climate action plan to mitigate these costs and provides resilient and sustainable government actions.

Election 2025
Premier Ford has called a snap, short, and cold election 16 months in advance of the fixed election date when he already had a majority government to supposedly deal with President Trump’s tariff threats. He offers the same old thing for the next 4 years – more highways and gimmicks for cars, and nothing for Willowdale. This election is not needed – it’s only to stay in power to cover up bad deals. Make a change—vote Green!
