Get your Money Back at Tax Time
If you pay taxes, you’ll get money back when you donate.
For the first $400 you donate in any year, you’ll get three quarters of it back at tax time. So that means you can give $400 now and use the tax receipt we provide to get $300 back. That means it only costs $100 to give the Green Party a $400 push.
It’s easy to spend $25 at restaurant or at the movies. A $100 donation now will only cost $25 once you get $75 back on your taxes.

This table applies per person per year. So your partner can make a matching $400 donation to receive a matching $300 credit, and you both can donate again in the new year.
(Note that after the first $400, the additional tax credit on the next $350 is one half. After the first $750, the additional tax credit is one third up to a yearly maximum tax credit of $650. You must be a permanent resident of Canada to donate.)
